She was also against gay marriage until some time between 2011 and 2013, and considering that she is a lawyer and graduated from an excellent law school, that is incomprehensible to me. Marriage has been recognized as a fundamental right since the case Loving v. Virginia which was decided in 1967, and how any lawyer could think that the right to marry should depend on the genders of the two people deciding to marry is beyond me.
My suspicion is that Hillary was opposed to gay marriage because she lacked the courage to say out loud that since marriage is a fundamental right it cannot be denied based on gender.
Her vote for the Iraq War was also an act of cowardice. She did not have the courage to tell her New York constituents who had been so personally hurt by 9/11 that there was no evidence that Saddam Hussein really had anything material to do with that terrorist attack.
We need a president with the courage to tell us the truth. Hillary is not that kind of person.
