states... Between the "strip" and then the "flip", its really quite obvious for anyone with eyes or who has been paying attention to this since 2000 and 2004 when it was done.
Quite honestly, Bernie probably didn't have any clue as to how successful or how much money he would raise for a campaign in this election. I think he wanted to push the ideas and the party to the left. That was a main goal. When the popularity of his campaign actually rose dramatically, he just didn't have enough of the right people in the right places to keep an eye on the strip and flip electioneering that happened. AND as a candidate, he can't come out and say, "hey, they're cheating", however, he should have hired the same people Obama did to keep his elections as honest as he could. In 2008, he also experienced a few hinky election results vs exit polling data. In the general, he had to keep re-registering people that were being stripped in 2012. AND again, I really don't think that Bernie OR any of us had any idea just how popular his candidacy would be. I almost wonder if E. Warren is kicking herself in the rear for not stepping up to the plate for a presidential run at this point. God how good the party would feel going into the GE right now had she gone forward. Maybe next time? AND its more than obvious that we need to have a ground swell of progressive dems run for lower elected offices. Hoping they don't become too compromised when they get into the higher levels of govt. When the "party establishment" is over run by progressives, then it is also easier to elevate Presidential contenders.
It certainly will be interesting to see what does happen to the Dem Party. Will the youth that wants climate addressed like we were attacked by aliens, head to the Green Party and make it relevant at local and state levels? Will they stay with the Dems and "take it over"? Or will they just drop out and go back to working their hob cob of 3 or 4 part-time gigs to survive in the economy today?
