14. Where you here back when

Jun 2016

Andy Stephenson was dying of pancreatic cancer, and the RW wonks were saying he had faked it to garner some $ 50K from DU members, and the Admins here would not make a statement in support of Andy? (They were, I guess, too scared of the RW types.)

The site back then had plenty of people who would jump on any pro-Kucinich OP as well. You would have thought Kucinich was George W's evil twin whenever a person viewed some of the slime thrown at pro-Kucinich remarks...

Same type of slime came the way of people posting about how the 2004 election was stolen.

Of course, when you consider how indie reporter Parry of Consortium News nailed Hillary to the Carville interference plays that twisted Kerry's arm (and brain) into conceding, maybe it now all makes sense: Hillary has been the candidate for the DNC since forever, and no one in the DNC wanted her to lose her chance to win it in 2008. 2012 or 2016 would have been just far too long for her to have to wait.

But karma proved to be a bitch. She had to wait until 2016 anyway.

The end of the political era. [View all] GoldenThunder Jun 2016 OP
