In reply to the discussion: 'We're cutting out some of this ear hair': Beto goes live from the barbershop [View all]Indygram
(2,113 posts)And I'm over 50 years old. If any other candidate did it there would be nothing but praise and admiration...but Beto is attacked and bashed on the daily, and using misinformation and dishonest news articles that are twisted and inaccurate. I'm starting to understand how Bernie supporters felt in 2016. This is how people end up disengaged and disillusioned. Beto is a genuinely GOOD person and a GREAT candidate. He doesn't say anything negative about ANYONE and has vowed to rally his supporters to help WHOEVER the nominee is if it's not him. We all saw what happens when supporters feel their candidate is NOT treated fairly. It pisses off their supporters and some end up saying to hell with it and staying home. I am seeing so much frustration, anger and disgust on social media from Beto supporters over all the media attacks because he live streams EVERYTHING, so his supporters KNOW what is true and what's not. I think it's important NOT to give any voters a reason to feel justified in believing their candidate didn't get fair treatment.
This video was NOT about ear hair or about getting a hair cut (like every male candidate does on camera.) It was about Manuel, the owner of the Barber Shop and putting a face on how immigration benefits this country. But Politico took a couple of seconds of a joke Beto made and twisted it to imply something else, totally IGNORING what the real topic of the video was. Then someone chooses to post it here to make it sound as unflattering as possible while also ignoring the real content of the video to invite negative responses from others here.
It's very unfortunate to see inaccurate smear articles like this posted here. If nothing else it allows me to make a mental note of which posts I need to really verify in the future to check on accuracy.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
