(37,648 posts)Just like people had a view of black people and wouldn't vote for an Af. American for President, along came Obama, and all that changed. He wasn't so much a person of mixed race as he was a charismatic politician with natural leadership qualities.
That's what may change the female thing. This charismatic leadership quality is hard to come by among men, and harder to find among women.
It's a confidence, a sense of self, an ease with oneself and others, good sense of humor, smart, quick on her feet...someone anyone would follow if you're lost in a jungle, and she says, "Follow me! I'll find the way out!"
Women haven't historically been raised to have these qualities. But that's changing, so hopefully, more women will exhibit these natural leadership qualities.
