(9,533 posts)28. Yes, just as Obama was elected by milions of white voters
and people of other races -- there just aren't enough black voters for him to win with that alone.
We cannot pander to the bigots, racists and male chauvinists who are likely not going to vote Democratic no matter what. The Neanderthals would vote for a chimpanzee if it has an R after its name on the ballot.
Women and people of color, however, excite many voters who might otherwise stay home, boosting turnout.
There have been plenty of women Governors elected even in conservative Southern states. I am just not worried that gender alone would cost more votes than it would win.
And a woman at the top of the Dem ticket might also get some moderate women's votes -- and after all, women ARE the majority of the U.S. population!
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
