43. As I remember, bi-partisan cooperation worked out quite well for President Obama

And, it has worked out quite well since the Democrats took control of the house.

This year the Democrats have passed perhaps a hundred pieces of legislation that the Senate hasn't even considered thanks to McConnell.
Biden's approach can't work with the current group of Republicans.
It's a good idea, but we need to have the majorities in both houses to break through the McConnell wall.

Bi-partisan requires a good faith effort on both sides.
There is no good faith effort on the Republican side. We saw that with Obama.
We are seeing it now.
We need majorities in both houses before it can even be considered.
Even then, I am pretty sure the Republican's will obstruct all Democratic efforts to govern by any means they can find.
