(4,558 posts)Killed off the one real thing his candidacy was bringing to the table.. Creating a battleground, and possible flip of Texas 38 electoral votes.
Even if Abrams is tapped as VP it made Georgia harder to turn into battleground and flip.
Is going to be totally used as misleading theyre out to take your guns fodder throughout the Mid-west/critical rust belt states come general election time no matter who our candidate is now.
His calls for legislation and background checks? GREAT
His attacks on Trumps ties to the El Paso shooting? SPOT ON
Wanting to restrict or even eliminate sales of these kinds of weapons? Workable, still would be used but with lessor effect.
The second he crossed over into Yes, were going to take.. Energized their base, and will reduce the numbers that might have been willing to support in key swing states.
Totally fine with a law like that passing, but given the craziness of this country when it comes to taking guns, it was a stupid one to campaign on.
And, even though Biden is my choice now, up until Beto made this turn in the last week, I was 100% for Beto.
Heck, this was one of my posts on him just last week.
