(58,785 posts)I remember how flabbergasting that interview was -- to the editorial board, not just me. After over 25 years in congress and running for president on strong declarations of what he'd do, he had very little idea how government could be used to implement his dreams. His answer was that he'd make the promises now and later get experts who would know how.
He's no Trump; Trump far surpasses him in I believe every one of their various resemblances. But if there were no Trump, Sanders' ignorance would have been the most shocking for the circumstances I'd ever run into. Apparently he had limited interest in how the different branches of government work, plus all his passions had always been no more than dreams he didn't expect to need to know anything about? Including the most recent one of how to destroy the Obama administration's great achievement and use his claimed need to do that to run for president on. He's still figuring he'll hire experts to pull off the promised replacement.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
