I don't think you understand what I mean by a single encounter. Each woman only met Biden once. That's what I mean by a "single encounter". It's not like a person you meet frequently, like a fellow worker. In these cases, the person could say, "Please, don't touch my shoulder", or "I'd rather you not kiss my cheek", or "Please don't rub the top of my head". Once warned, the next act is totally inappropriate.
But, we can't assume everyone feels that way. To be hugged by the Vice-President, or to have a harmless kiss on the cheek, as thousands of people in the real world do every day, should not be elevated to the traumatic experience of a sexual offer or touching a woman's breast, or buttocks, or, in the case of Trump, even worse.
I contend that the only way the supporters of the lesser known candidates for the Democratic nomination stand a chance is to tear Biden down. Well, the voters are turning out to be way too smart for that.
