(4,187 posts)Many Democratic women are busy people working multiple jobs to make ends meet. If youve ever campaigned for a presidential candidate, you know that winning an election is all about getting those people excited enough to take time out of their workday to stand in line to vote. That is the real reason why Hillary didnt win by a landslide in 2016. All the attacks from the left, right, Russia, and Comey put enough doubt in enough peoples minds that the people who would have made a difference didnt bother to go out and vote.
The numbers you refer to are completely consistent with Bidens name recognition. Most people are not thinking about the elections yet. Even in California and Massachusetts, most people know more about their president and vice-president than they do about their Senator.
Also, please refrain from speaking for women. Your name indicates that you are male. With all due respect, you dont know what most women do or dont understand. Im not even sure what difference youre referring to. If you think that most Democratic women will be all excited about voting for a white male when there are at least two excellent female candidates, you cant possibly have been paying attention to how women have reacted to Trumps presidency.
Finally, I doubt very much that a powerful woman like Harris would accept the VP slot. Harris has much more power in the Senate than she would as VP. She might accept the position of AG, but first the white male candidate would have to convince women to elect him president.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
