7. The people that support Jim Jordon in Ohio are probably very similar to those

that support Ted Cruz, Ken Paxton, or Greg Abbott in Texas - just to name a few I am familiar with.

But let's face it, most voters do not even know who they are voting for. Unlike those of us that participate in the DU forum and a really interested in politics, the average voter only knows a candidate based on a couple of things.

Which party he aligns with (I still don't understand someone calling themselves an independent), name recognition, or endorsements by someone - especially for down ballot candidates.

This makes me wonder - who are these people that like the Jim Jordons or Ted Cruz or even Trumps. Do they like the nasty rhetoric, does it attract them? Is this the America that I live in? It's got to be or something is drastically wrong with our system.

I hope it is a system failure because I hate to think the majority of Americans support people so offensive that you wouldn't even want your children to listen to them.
