MIAMI (Reuters) - Three U.S. Army officers at the Guantanamo Bay prison camp were suspended from duty in an investigation of what military officials described on Friday as personal misconduct that did not involve prisoners.
A spokesman for the prison operation at the base in southeastern Cuba said he could not discuss specifics but that "No one was hurt or injured."
"It's personal misconduct. It does not have to do with detainees or fulfilling of duties," said the spokesman, Maj. Hank McIntire.
The suspended officers, a colonel and two lieutenant colonels whose names were not released, were reassigned to administrative duties pending the outcome of an investigation.
