As top Bush aide Karl Rove prepares for his fourth grand-jury appearance, the federal probe into who leaked CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity to the media is believed to be wrapping up.

But the investigation has taken a toll on White House aides, many of whom now fear that the special counsel, Patrick Fitzgerald, is intent on issuing indictments.

"Fitzgerald's office, although very professional, has been very aggressive in pursuing people," the adviser said. "These guys are bullies, and they threaten you."

Meanwhile, lawyers for possible indictment targets are boning up on the Espionage Act, used to charge Daniel Ellsberg, leaker of the Pentagon papers, say people close to the probe.

She spent two weeks in jail, and some judge ordered some insanely high bail, $50,000, I think. Maybe she can give the White House staffers, who are used to calling the shots and tramping on other people's rights, a few tips about what it's like to feel helpless and afraid.

This couldn't happen to a more deserving group of people. I'd love to see Rove, Libbey, Bush, Cheney, Bolton, and a few more serving time.

Remember when the Administration wanted to have an "informer program" where folks could spy on their colleagues and neighbors and turn them in for "suspicious activity?" Sounds like patriotism should begin in the White House and rather than whine, they should be jumping to cooperate with the investigation to ferret out those responsible for damaging our national security.

Interesting that I can remember the..... NAME.... of his psychiatrist but not the outcome of these charges.
