Air-India accused linked to Indian PM's assassins

Air-India suspect Ripudaman Singh Malik and his alleged co-conspirators in the disaster were linked Monday to those who assassinated India's prime minister Indira Gandhi and attempted to kill her son Rajiv.

Speaking calmly and without hesitation, the key witness at the sensational Air-India trial said Mr. Malik has told her about the group's financial support for deadly terrorism and for shaheeds in India.

Mr. Malik also told her about instances of passport fraud in Canada, embezzlement of Sikh temple funds, an insurance scam and plans for fraudulent use of provincial government funds.
