State Democratic Party officials say their call to impeach President Bush is not realistic.
They just want to bring attention to what they consider egregious abuses of power, including the administration's authorization of wiretaps without warrants.

Party Chairman John Wertheim said today the caution expressed by Madrid and Bingaman doesn't represent a split between the party and its high-profile elected officials.
