Soggy News Day
Source: KWTX

(August 25, 2008)—A Fox News crew setting up to cover the DNC in Denver got an unexpected shower early Monday after a sprinkler system discharged its water all over their equipment.

Sprinklers went off in the Fox Network convention broadcast booth as the crew was setting up its equipment.

Firefighters who responded believe the news crew’s broadcast lights were too close to the sprinkler heads and set off the system.

The incident was caught on tape.

The booth is now back up and working after the soggy incident.

I've seen this happen before, on a movie set. That it happened to Fox is delightful.

3. Part of Pepsi Center flooded by sprinkler system (and FOX News' Skybox)
Source: 9NEWS Denver

DENVER - A sprinkler system partially flooded part of the Pepsi Center Monday morning.

The Denver Fire Department, which has a crew stationed at the center all week, was able to respond quickly before 5 a.m. when the sprinkler went off.

The sprinkler was located on the club level in a skybox which had recently been renovated to host a news crew. It appears the skybox belongs to Fox.

After going off, the sprinkler released 50 to 100 gallons of water per minute and 9NEWS crews estimate it was on for around 5 minutes.
