Ex-Chechen president killed in car blast

Former Chechen president Zelimkhan Yandarbiyev today died in Qatar when his car exploded.
The exiled ex-president was taken to a hospital in the capital, Doha, after suffering serious injuries, but died during surgery. Television channel al-Jazeera, which is based in Qatar, said two bodyguards were also killed in the explosion.
