President George W. Bush spent his last full day in office Monday on the phone, extending a farewell to several world leaders, including Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, and former Mexican President Vicente Fox.

Bush spent the weekend at the presidential retreat at Camp David, before returning to Washington for a private dinner Sunday evening with outgoing Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, as well as a brief appearance at a reception for current and former administration staffers.

Bush is expected to fly to his ranch in Crawford, Texas shortly after President-elect Barack Obama is sworn in on Tuesday at noon.
