| 1. I'm no fan of the DP but in this case, there is NO guessing |
|
if he's guilty or not. He admitted it and was caught in the altered car they used along with the guns. It ssure didn't bother HIM to kill people just for the fun of it, and I won't be shedding any tears tonight for him either.

| 2. I'm against the DP here as in all cases |
|
I get upset not for the murderer, but because of a penalty I'm against for moral and other reasons.

People pay scant attention to the impact the DP has on the societies that implement it.

| 4. The problem is that our "heroes" lied about the real vehicle for weeks. |
|
We were allowed to be cannon fodder as sniper victims so they could get more funding requests approved. As soon as they told us the truth about the vehicle the sniper was using "not the white van misinfo story", an alert citizen phoned in his whereabouts. Our lazy ass heroes got there about four hours later. Seems like they were giving him time to flee for more sympathy money approved.
So those bastards who lied about the vehicle need to be charged with misinforming the public so murder could rampage. Just as those fuckers who knew the real story of 9/11 but made the FBI STFU so they could get rich or more money approved need to be tried.

A) The whole ordeal only lasted 3 weeks. They did not know about the vehicle the whole time - they learned about this 2 weeks into the killings. B) Our 'heroes' got to the rest stop an hour after they got the call - the rest stop is in BFE and 2 hours outside of DC. C) There was A LOT of misinformation and panic information after the first round of killings. D) Do you REALLY think that Police allowed this to happen to get money? If so...really...fuck off.
You are more than welcome to spout your LIHOP and MIHOP fantasies. You are wrong.
The people to blame are in prison for the rest of their life and dead in 8 hours.
But if blaming everyone but the killers helps you get through the day...

| 8. Outrageous and unwarranted speculation. People reported a white van leaving the scene of the |
|
shootings. That is why the word was put out to watch for a white van. Misleading vehicle descriptions happen all of the time at crime scenes. There was a shooting, people remember seeing a certain vehicle leaving at about the same time, and they mistakenly connected the two. Nothing more nefarious than that.

What makes you think that the white van story was an intentional lie, as opposed to a mistake?

That was standard protocol in the 10 days of their little reign of terror in Montgomery County.
I have mixed feelings about the Death Penalty (getting closer to being Anti after the Texas case of the innocent man being executed for killing his family), but I have no problem with this one. Having lived through this, I confess openly that my feelings on this case are those of Vengeance and nothing more.

Normally I have reservations about the death penalty. However, I knew Dean Meyers and my only reservation in this case is that Malvo isn't getting executed as well.
