bbcA loud explosion has been heard near the German embassy in Afghanistan, witnesses say.
A Kabul police spokesman told AFP news agency that initial information indicated it was a rocket attack.
The explosion took place at about 2005 (1535 GMT). There was no immediate word on casualties.

Chief of criminal investigation Abdul Ghafor Sayedzada says the target of the rocket attack in Shar-e-naw district was unclear. The blast occurred near the German Embassy and a building used by Roshan, the nation's leading mobile phone company."
