Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added.

Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.

Offhismeds is a revolutionary, not a conservative.

He believes in a worldwide Islamic revolution, and that when Islam has swept all before it and is triumphant as the sole authority on Earth, an age of justice for all will be the result. Now, of course, justice means things like women are relegated to their divinely sanction place and they do not arrogantly usurp roles in society that God has given to men. Lack of same is viewed by him as "injustice" because it is against the perfect word of God as revealed in the Koran. So crazy as it may seem, Offhismeds really is a revolutionary because he wants to effect a violent, root and branch transformation of the world in accord with an all-embracing world view. He doesn't want to go backward to a traditional time. He wants to go forward to the end time, when the Hidden Imam will emerge to lead the faithful to victory.
