"The caucus’s worry stems, in part, from the political leanings of a bank president at the center of the recount controversy. The International Commerce Bank — where hundreds of absentee ballots were discovered that gave Cuellar victory — is run by Dennis Nixon, a well-known Republican fundraiser."
http://www.hillnews.com/news/040704/cuellar.aspxI'm not sure whether this means that the ballots were cast at the IBC branch, or what, but Dennis Nixon is an employee of Tony Sanchez, former "Democratic" nominee for governor in Texas. IBC was once a savings and loan, and was accused of money laundering for drug dealers. It also went belly up, like so many S&Ls, and was bailed out. Sanchez was cleared of any wrongdoing in both the laundering and the belly-up case.
Guess who's federal investigative branches cleared him? G HW Bush's. Guess who Sanchez then supported as governor, then president-- giving tons of money to? George W Bush.
Guess what governor Henry Cuellar used to work as secretary of state for? Wrong, not GW. Rick Perry. Republican.
This is a Texas plot to steal a seat for the Repubs. They are already talking about Cuellar switching parties, so there will be no Democrat in this race if Rodriquez doesn't win.
