Wall Street demonstrations may get star power (Alec Baldwin)

(CNN) -- The Occupy Wall Street movement may get an infusion of more star power as actor Alec Baldwin said he is headed to join the growing, leaderless protest.

"I wanna go to Zuccotti Park," Baldwin tweeted from his verified Twitter account Tuesday night, referring to the de facto headquarters and meeting ground for the protests in New York..

Close to midnight, Baldwin tweeted "On my way to OWS (Occupy Wall Street)."

Baldwin's support comes the same night that feminist author and activist Naomi Wolf was taken into police custody during protests outside Skylight Studio in Manhattan.

Fuck 'star power'. It's about people power. Regular, everyday people, not opportunists who want to hop on the bandwagon.

Mr Baldwin already has his stage. He can say what he wants from there. But if he shows (showed?) up at Zucotti Park he is just another person and that is (hopefully) how he will be treated. He can hold a sign, he can march with the crowd, he can get in the stack line if he wants to talk at GA. But he is no more important than anyone else there.

They are playing a bait and switch on their news headlines. Huffpost seems to do this too. The second headline is much more center/right than the one used to draw in Progressives.
