The Walt Disney Internet Group just tried to dump "Spyware cookies"

into my computer from this Website, THE DU Underground. Why do I call it SPYWARE? I read thier "Privacy Policies Statement". Allow me to share but a few of these policies with you. "Why is this information collected ......or allowing access to an online address book, or electronic wallet. ......information that can be linked to an individual may be used for research, analysis, and reporting. Who has access to this information ?among others .....Legal entities that are consrained by and accountable to this website,BUT MAY USE THE DATA NOT SPECIFIED IN THIS WEBSITES PRACTICES." I`ll paraphrase some more: What kind of info is gathered ? Info that allows an individual to be contacted in the physical World such as your phone number and mailing address. It goes on and on and on. If that isn`t SPYWARE I don`t know what is. The Walt Disney Corp. is no friend of Democrats as far as I know. My internet security picked up this attempted dump for the first time at DU about 1/2 hour ago. I hope this is not the result of a DU staff decision but rather some corporate hackers. Any comment from the moderator about this? Anyone else picking up these "computer attacks" at DU ? ...Oscar
