GI's parents protest 'war on the cheap'
When Teri and Houston Barclay's son went off to fight in Iraq, they didn't boast about it to neighbors.
They didn't put up a "Support the Troops" banner. There was no talk about how he was defending America's freedom.
Instead, the Barclays drove from their Duvall home to a park in Redmond, where they joined an anti-war rally.
Since then, this once apolitical couple has marched in more than 50 anti-war demonstrations. They've denounced the war on conservative talk radio, in letters to newspapers and on television.
Teri, the daughter of a Korean War vet, has not been an activist before. She and Houston, an accountant and son of a World War II vet, have become so vehemently opposed to the war that they continue to back the only presidential candidate who supports an immediate withdrawal of troops, Dennis Kucinich.
