The Associated PressSaudi Arabia freed and deported five Britons and a Canadian who were sentenced to death or prison for bombings three years ago that killed one person, their lawyer said Friday.
The six men were granted royal clemency after appealing their sentences in the bombings, which killed a British man and wounded four people in 2000. They arrived at London's Heathrow Airport later Friday, but did not speak to reporters waiting for them. ---
Al-Hujeilan said his clients "maintained their position that they are not guilty. This case should now be closed. It is closed from the Saudi point of view." ---
