Boeing loses bid for $10 billion security contract Accenture gets job to track foreigners entering U.S.
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER NEWS SERVICES
WASHINGTON -- The Boeing Co. lost its bid for a piece of a $10 billion homeland security contract that aims to track every foreigner entering the United States.
Accenture LLP, a technology and management consulting company, was awarded the government contract yesterday to develop and expand biometric technology for checking identities of foreign visitors.
The system, known as US-VISIT, requires foreigners to be fingerprinted and photographed upon entering the United States at a major airport or seaport. The technology also can include iris scans to identify people.
The Department of Homeland Security awarded Accenture the contract over two other bidders, Lockheed Martin, based in Bethesda, Md., and Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., with whom Boeing was a partner.

voting roles? Or were they the ones who were an offshoot of Arthur Anderson who kept investing Florida's Govt Employee Pension funds in Enron long after the stocks had been making a swan dive? I may be confusing which Florida scandal to which they are connected - but I seem to recall they had a central role in one of those scandals.

Accenture is headquartered in a Bahamian PO Box meaning no taxes and limited federal oversight.
I wonder what the pay-off was.
