Judge Declares Abu Ghraib a Crime Scene

BAGHDAD, Iraq — A military judge Monday declared Abu Ghraib (search) prison a crime scene and ordered that it not be destroyed — a move President George Bush (search) had offered to help remove the stain of torture and abuse from Iraq.

The judge, Col. James Pohl, issued the order during a hearing for Sgt. Javal Davis (search), one of three defendants who appeared in court Monday. Pohl also refused to move the case from Iraq as Davis' lawyer had requested.

President Bush had offered to tear down Abu Ghraib and build a new prison to eliminate the legacy of torture and abuse that the facility developed during Saddam Hussein's rule and later because of the current scandal.

Iraqi officials showed no interest in the offer, and interim President Ghazi al-Yawer (search) said destroying the facility would be a needless waste of resources.

scene and destroying it would destroy evidence. Chimp thought he could have it torn down and forgotten. It should stay there as a monument to the evil that was done there by Saddam and Bushco.

3. Bush made that up for his speech, about tearing Abu Ghraib down

and threw all the soldiers for a loop. The soldiers who are now stationed at Abu Ghraib thought, after hearing the speech , that they were being deployed elsewhere, because Bush made up that statement ON HIS OWN , and we stopped sending packages to Michael at Abu Ghraib, where he is stationed, because we assumed he was being deployed to the south of Iraq.
NOW we all find out he ISNT being deployed, that Abu Ghraib ISNT being torn down, and that Michael will continue to stay there.
Michael was FURIOUS in his email that Bush made this up for his lame speech and it really screwed the soldiers, their families, and everyone else who was sending packages to the kids.
The sheer cruelty of Bush to so easily make up ignorant, callous, off the cuff statements such as the one he inserted into his speech
"Abu Ghraib will be torn down", again re iterates to me that Bush is a meglomaniac, a psychopath, a tyrant, and a bastard who thinks he can be a frigging dictator and throw words around with NO regards to the families of service members, or the servicepeople themselves.
He isnt a King, he is a seriously and mentally ill fratboy in the White House and needs to be removed AS SOON AS POSSIBLE before he does ANY more harm.
