BAGHDAD (AFP) - An Iraqi boy was killed and at least four people wounded, a religious leader and witnesses said, in the first clash between US forces and Shiite Muslims in Baghdad since the war to oust Saddam Hussein.

begun to happen.

The rule with foreigners occupying Afghanistan has always been that the first year is the easiest. It gets progressively worse from there. This held true for the British, for the Russians and now for the coalition.

The same will be true of Iraq. Not only will the Shiites now get involved but Iraq is drawing radical Islamic terrorists from a 3,000 mile radius and the U.S. are powerless to stop them coming in.

This is looking more and more like a game of "whack-a-mole" and there is only one result in that game. You're eventually overwhelmed.
