Gov. Jeb Bush won't read former President Clinton's new book, and he's not going to see Michael Moore's new movie, Fahrenheit 9/11, either.

The movie, which won praise at the Cannes Film Festival, is an attack against the war in Iraq and the Bush family. The film suggests ties between the Bushes and the Saudi royal family.

"He has the First Amendment right to lie about my brother and his family," the governor said in Key Biscayne on Friday, "and I have a First Amendment right not to pay eight bucks for his stupid movie."

Bush said he did not think TV ads for the movie should be restricted under the new McCain- Feingold federal campaign law. Why not? "It's fiction," Bush said.

That would be either Slander or Libel or both depending on the medium. Therefore if Michael Moore is LYING, then why is Jeb Bush not SUEING?

The obvious reason being, the defense against such a charge is that you're telling the truth, in which case the prosecution would have no case.

Yet Freepers never ask themselves this question. If Michael Moore is Lying, why has the Bush administration not sued him? Just ask over and over and over, every time you're told he's lying his ass off in the film. Repeat it ad naseum. Repeat it until they have nowhere left to run.

a person in the public eye like Jeb would have reacted more calmly and dismissively. Jeb is definitely reacting - big time.

'The movie is a lie' is their lying defense. Make them count the lies.

We have another documentary coming out and the lie claim may start all over again if they get mileage out of F911. However, as I remember it, the cabal didn't even try to claim there were lies in the book the new documentary is based on - "The Hunting of the President" by Conason and Lyons, because the authors were careful and are professionals (journalists).
