BREAKING: Police Say Mark Hacking Confessed
KSL Newsradio 1160 has obtained a police document that reveals police found blood on Lori and Mark Hacking's bed, mattress, and on a knife. The police document also says Mark told a "reliable citizen" that he killed Lori in her sleep.

(KSL News) -- KSL Newsradio has obtained new information this afternoon from the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.

In an amended probable cause statement, investigators give a detailed account of the evidence they have against Mark Hacking in murder of his pregnant wife Lori.

The statement describes blood spatters found on the bedrails and headboard in the apartment, blood found on a knife in the bedroom, and blood found on a mattress found in a nearby dumpster.

The statement also reveals that a "reliable citizen" told police that Mark had confessed to killing Lori in her sleep.

There was a woman killed by her significant other here a week or so ago. He had a restraining order against him for what little good that did. She was poor, from a less-than-desirable neighborhood, but at least the local press covered her story. They charged the BF after a few days.

I get so annoyed that so much attention is paid to just these few cases. It was like the child abductions a few years ago. The national press covered a few intensly but never touched the thousands of cases nationwide.

pushes hard to get the media to pay attention so the case doesn't 'die', they aren't connected to the media but they go public and are open to being interviewed. Who can blame them, if my nearest and dearest was missing I would push and push and push. I doubt the Polly Klass case would ever have been solved or her body even found if the family hadn't kept on with it.
