LAS VEGAS - In selling California, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to sell himself. With the glitz of a Hollywood premiere, Schwarzenegger launched a national campaign Wednesday to attract jobs to his economically struggling state - not with tax giveaways or real-estate deals, but with his own celebrity.

Rock music blared in a cavernous Las Vegas Strip mall as Schwarzenegger, dressed in a beige suit, emerged from a cloud of smoke and strode along a catwalk to the cheers of hundreds of shoppers.

A new billboard that will anchor the campaign in about 10 cities around the country was projected behind Schwarzenegger on three huge video screens. It features the famously toned actor-turned-governor wearing a California T-shirt and the slogan, "Arnold says Californiawants your business. (Actually he says Kah-li-fornia.)"


He later ascended a mechanical lift outside the mall, high above the crowd, where he posed for photographs in front of a huge electronic version of the billboard glowing over the traffic on the Strip.

5. Arnold has all but completely failed at doing anything to

improve the situation created by the chimp recession and duke energy company. His great achievement was borrowing money to pay last year's deficit. He has no plans for this year other than laying off half the state workers and crippling the college system. Most simply, he was a fraud akin to Jesse Ventura. He was voted in by lambs who thought would be "neat" and "fun" to have this clown as Governor. The very very worse is yet to come.

the Chinese, then no businesses will be locating to CA any time soon. Also, CA would have to revoke ALL of their environmental laws to boot. What the politicians don't understand is that they have unwittingly sold out their tax base by signing trade deals that didn't protect labor wages. Thus, they have destroyed the Private Sector Middle Class job base. The only place left for the Middle class to get a decent wage is...GOVERNMENT JOBS, but even that doesn't have a long shelf life because there's no Middle class tax base to support CA's government workers.
