LAS VEGAS -- In selling California, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to sell himself. With the glitz of a Hollywood premiere, Schwarzenegger launched a national campaign Wednesday to attract jobs to his economically struggling state -- not with tax giveaways or real-estate deals, but with his own celebrity.
Rock music blared in a cavernous Las Vegas Strip mall as Schwarzenegger, dressed in a beige suit, emerged from a cloud of smoke and strode along a catwalk to the cheers of hundreds of shoppers.

It features the famously toned actor-turned-governor wearing a California T-shirt and the slogan, "Arnold says California wants your business. (Actually he says Kah-li-fornia.)"
He later ascended a mechanical lift outside the mall, high above the crowd, where he posed for photographs in front of a huge electronic version of the billboard glowing over the traffic on the Strip.
