Iraq envoy Clwyd to join privy council

The prime minister's special representative on human rights in Iraq, Ann Clwyd, is to become a privy counsellor, Downing Street announced today.

You're probably unaware who she is, but she's the one who came up with the idea of "Saddam's People Shredder" as an excuse to invade Iraq... Whatever happened to that?

The Privy Council are a body of judges, who's main business is cases from places we still have as colonies. So it looks like she's got her reward off Bliar.
