What a great personality and the driving force in improving the cooking in the U.S.
I always do roast chicken a la Julia Ñ it's the only thing I cook that turns out well every time.

| 4. Her show was great, so was Dan Ackroyd's impression |

"I've cut the dickens out of my little finger". I don't think she was ever offended by the skit.
The freepers said she did intelligence work during WWII. I don't know if it's true, but if it is, she was likely a war hero herself.

I a world where cooking shows have become pre-packaged perfection, I'll always remember that Julia wasn't afraid to have something come out wrong and to show people what happened. She was a true teacher.

Bummer.
She and Graham Kerr a.k.a. the Galloping Gourmet gave me my first cooking lessons (other than mom teaching me to fry bacon and boil eggs). I've been an avid cook since about age 10 because of her influence.
RIP
