Washington Post report: Swift Boat Vet contradicts himself

Today's Washington Post reported that one of the Swift Boat Vets for Truth participants, Larry Thurlow, has contradicted the report he filed regarding an attack on John Kerry's boat during the Vietnam War.

The Washington Post acquired Thurlow's report under the Freedom of Information Act because Thurlow was withholding information, he said, out of concern that the Kerry campaign would acquire it and politicize it.

Thurlow described his boat and Kerry's being under attack in a Vietnamese waterway, which contradicts the statements he has made in the Swift Boat ad campaign which was produced to discredit John Kerry's military record, which includes the presidential candidate receiving three Purple Hearts, one Silver Star and one Bronze Star.

One of the networks, either ABC or CNN 'sort of' covered this story this morning, but their report was so garbled and confusing that it was not clear that the story discredits another one of the anti-Kerry vets who has been caught lying.
