State reconsiders Nader's bid
Kilgore's office cites 'doubt' of information from elections board

n a move that could affect the presidential campaign in Virginia, the state attorney general's office is reconsidering its decision that kept Ralph Nader off the presidential ballot.

A spokesman for Attorney General Jerry W. Kilgore said yesterday that his office made the decision that denied Nader a spot on the ballot based on misleading information provided by the State Board of Elections.

2. Unfortunately, it's legal.

It doesn't matter what their purpose is-if the republicans collect enough signatures for Nader to get on the ballot, Nader will get on the ballot...

3. Two=fer

First win: We now know that Kilgore is a total whore. This is important for Virginians since he wants to be governor. This will piss off the Dems and 'inform' the Indy's.
Second win (pending): He tries this, shows he's a whore, and can't pull it off.

Let's see how Warner handles this. He needs to kick some serious ass and make Kilgore known as the political hack that he is.

I really don't think that dems & independents will be swayed by Nader this time,, The stakes are too high.. and maybe ...just maybe.. if Bush keeps screwing up, repubes might vote for HIM if they cannt bring themselves to vote D..:)

I would imagine disenchanted republicans would vote libertarian before they voted democrat, which begs the question, do democrats do anything similar to what republicans have been doing for Nader? I would think that tactic would be particularly effective in this election because of the widespread discontent with W because of his spending policies.

5. This is like Katherine Harris all over again

Why do so few Democrats seem to be willing to play hardball and just about every Republican at every level of government seems to be ready and willing at all times?

Our side needs to grow some balls.

They must not allow Bush's campaign to decide where Nader is on the ballot. The decision has been made and Bush's campaign is trying to reverse that state decision.
