SIDON: An Iraqi delegation representing the Higher Committee for Islamic Call and Guidance on Monday visited Sidon, where it met with local leaders about Iraqi resistance.
Sheikh Mehdi Omeidi, who headed the Iraqi delegation, said that the object of the visit was to "get to know the Lebanese people and explain to them some facts about the Iraqi resistance, which the media has shed no light on."
He said that the media had not paid sufficient attention to the destruction caused by "US forces and other foreign and non-Muslim organizations that caused significant damage to Iraqi installations."
"We are here in Lebanon in order to explain to our Lebanese brothers some of these facts and show them that some so-called resistance acts now taking placed in Iraq are contrary to all religions and laws," he said about some suicide missions that predominantly kill civilians."

Many of the resistance representatives are listened to with respect throughout the Arab world.
