Five U.S. war planes have trespassed Iranian air space and may have been testing its air defenses, Iran's official news agency said Friday.

The five planes entered Iranian air space late Aug. 19 from the southwestern Shalamcheh border and flew over the city of Khorramshahr, the official Islamic republic news agency said, citing reports earlier this week in the Tehran press.

A small group of Air Force reservists who speak Persian were being trained by the Pentagon at a camp in Virginia in a kind of Iran immersion course, that involved not only language immersion, but “how to play Iranian card games.” The consultant called my second source, an Iran expert, to see if this small elite group could meet with him. He said among the group of four that was supposed to come was Larry Franklin. Franklin in fact did not come, but sent his regrets in a note. My second source said by the way he was terribly impressed with the Iranian language skills that the group that did come possessed.

See how Iran scrambles their air force, what kind of radars they have, etc.

Modern French radar gives US trouble for a few months until they can figure it out with software. They will keep doing this to provoke responses, so when and if they do go in they are prepared.
