Best Headline Ever? Barbara Bush Enjoys Disciplinarian Role
<snip>
Barbara Bush may have been joking about whether she was familiar with the ribald television series when interviewed by ABC's "Good Morning America," but she readily acknowledged that she is more likely to lay down the law with the twins than either her husband or the twins' own parents.
"George is putty in their hands, and I'm the one who's saying — not just to them — pull down your skirt or put on a skirt or pull up your top or something. That's just part of me, can't help it," Barbara Bush said in an interview broadcast Thursday.
"They rule by gentleness," she said of the twins' parents, President Bush (news - web sites) and first lady Laura Bush, "other than my socking, shouting, yelling."

| 9. i think she meant those tops that show the bush twins cleavage. look at |
|
laura... she has never shown any cleavage at all. no, on second thought, don't look at laura.
what sickens me is that bushco (rove) is using the bush twins as "fluffers" for the convention, fooling the younger voters into siding with the twins based on sexual attraction, and forgetting bush's dismal and fraudulent record. are we electing a president, or preparing for a reality show? or should i say, non-reality show?

The head of the Family Values of the United States.
How could anyone have liked her and thought her to be nice?
She sure fooled a lot of people during her WH years.
There she was, reading to little children. Telling American parents how important books are to our society.
I love the irony that on 911 her son was reading a 2nd grade book and even those words were too hard for him. But, instead of doing his job that day he SAT and forgot to do his JOB!

| 8. Sounds like a dream family |
|
In our home, we manage to have a well-disciplined, well-mannered child without any "socking" or yelling whatsoever. I'd put my 5-year-old boy up against the Bushweiser twins any day in maturity and manners. And thank God that neither my mother nor my mother-in-law usurps our parenting duties. We don't have any criminals in our family, either, unlike the Bushes.
Guess my liberal family values beat the Bush family values on every count! :)

With * Sr. away on CIA/Fascist business, Barbara ran the household with the same violence we are seeing from her son. http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1033904,00.html(So George, How Do You Feel About Your Mom and Dad?)

| 12. But Gramma thought sticking a tongue out at the press was funny -- |
|
I'm reminded of Maureen Dowd's statement that for the Bushes there are two kinds of people -- their peers, and the help. They show contempt for all except their peers, and our free press is apparently "help." From the article:
The former first lady recalled receiving a letter from someone she knows saying she should tell Jenna Bush how outrageous it was for her to have stuck out her tongue at photographers while traveling with her father on a campaign trip, an act caught on film.
"I wrote the girl back and I said, if you'll pardon me, 98 percent of Americans would like to stick their tongue out at the press," Barbara Bush told ABC, adding that the gesture took place while the press corps was kidding around. "It was so nothing, and it was funny."

Does this explain all the injuries to Georgie's face? Could the Bab Hag be socking him?
