Mashhad, Khorasan Prov. (MNA) -- Following the announcement of the arrest of dozens of spies seeking information about Iran's nuclear activities, Intelligence Minister Ali Yunesi said here Saturday that his ministry would 'nip any plot in the bud'.
Speaking at a ceremony in Mashhad marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Intelligence Ministry, Yunesi said the ministry has all the enemies of the Islamic Republic of Iran under surveillance.
"The ministry has all affairs under surveillance… and will nip any plot in the bud," Yunesi said, adding that Iran currently has the best intelligence service in the world.
He went on to say that in view of its enormous experience, Iran’s Intelligence Ministry is capable of engaging the world’s most powerful security organizations in an intelligence battle.
