PIKETON, Ohio - Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards on Thursday poked fun at Vice President Dick Cheney's claim that economic indicators fail to measure the financial gains of Americans selling items on eBay.

"He said people are selling a lot of stuff on eBay. When we count the bake sales and lemonade stands, we'll have a roaring economy," Edwards told a union hall rally.

But this is a plus/minus situation. If anyone here hasn't seen it, there was an Edwards rally in WV and supposedly people ripped a sign out of a 3-year girls hand and ripped it up. It was on Yahoo earlier, therefore I fear that if people see this great speech by Edwards, they are likely to come across that article also. I don't know, it could be staged, who knows. But it didn't make us look good.
