Murder suspect's brothers take part in vigil for victim (Cleveland)

East Cleveland- Among the dozens of people gathered Wednesday for a candlelight vigil in memory of Rosalind Moore - gunned down Friday with an AK-47 assault rifle in front of horrified children and adults - were the suspect's brothers.

Johnny and Robert Jones were lingering nearby at their home on Hayden Avenue when Art McKoy, head of Black on Black Crime, used a bullhorn to beckon them to the solemn gathering on Elsinore Road, where Moore was killed.

The Jones brothers were clearly shamed and struck by grief as they apologized. Their brother, John Gary Jones, 39, of Miami, has been charged with aggravated murder in Moore's death.

Moore, 43, was sprayed by gunfire as she drove from her home on Elsinore late Friday, police said. <snip>

Firearms, once banned in 1994, now legal to own

The 19 named assault-style firearms banned under a 1994 law that expires Monday:

--AK-47 and all models of the Norinco, Mitchell and Poly Technologies Avtomat Kalashnikovs, designed in the former Soviet Union.

--Uzi and Galil, both made by Action Arms Israeli Military Industries.

--TEC-9, TEC-22 and TEC-DC9, manufactured by Intratec.
--SWD M-10, M-11, M-11-9 and M-12. Based on the design of the MAC-10, their full-automatic cousin, these assault pistols are designed to fire many bullets over a wide area in seconds.

--Street Sweeper and Striker 12 and other revolving cylinder semiautomatic shotguns.

--Beretta AR-70 and SC-70, used by armed forces in a number of countries including Italy, Jordan and Malaysia.

--Colt AR-15, the civilian version of the M-16 rifle that is the U.S. military's standard-issue rifle.

--Several weapons manufactured by Fabrique Nationale, the FN-FAL, FN-LAR and FNC. The guns are used by the armed forces of more than 90 countries.

--Steyr AUG, a rifle made in Germany.
