Egypt has issued an order barring pop star Madonna from entering the country because she visited Israel.

Members of Egypt's parliament have demanded Madonna, who has not requested entry into Egypt or announced any plans to visit the country, be barred from entering Egyptian soil. The parliament directed Egyptian embassies abroad to deny any visa requests from Madonna.

the stupidness with Cat Stevens has it's root with his "supposed" endorsment of the Fatwa on Salman Rushdie by Ayatollah Khomeini. He has responded to these allegations that still follow him to this day many times but come on...sometings like 50% of Americans STILL believe there are WMD's in Iraq. I'd like to know how many could tell you who Salman Rushdie or Ayatollah Khomeini are. Let alone have any idea what a Fatwa is or where Russia is on a map. Bigotry obviously has something to do with this but the problem, as we all are learning in this election, is a completely mind-blowing ignorance of anything that happened more than 15 minutes ago on Friends.
