China will finance Argentine infrastructure

success. What is truly hilarious here is China is using OUR dollars
to do it.

China announced Tuesday in Buenos Aires that it intends to invest 19,7 billion US dollars in Argentina over the next decade with the money going mainly into infrastructure projects and home building.

The announcement of the trade and investment deals was made during the first of the two days visits of Chinese president Hu Jintao to Argentina.

"We will widen the channels of cooperation ... in agriculture, industry, mining and infrastructure" said Chinese President Hu Jintao after a full hour’s meeting with Argentine president Nestor Kirchner in Casa Rosada. China is Argentina’s fourth trade partner behind Chile, Brazil and the United States, and officials said that bilateral trade is forecasted to grow 10% in 2004, reaching 3.5 billion US dollars.

Last June President Kirchner visited China when apparently talks for the 20 billion US dollars trade and investment deal began.

It is inevitable that America's uniquie historical postion as a sole superpower would end. The question was only how we would use the current power to shape the world to come.

Instead of retaining at least the power of a regional power the US has put itself in the situation where others are reaching into our own neighborhood. Not to mention the uncontrolled loss of power and influence further a field around the world.

concluded a huge oil deal, the EU and Iran just concluded a "complex" deal (full details yet to emerge) but it is more than just about nukes. So Iran is now protected enough to start selling its oil in petro-euros. This is how you destroy an empire.
