In an August column, Fred Grimm lists the insufficiencies surrounding the Iraq war, but he errs in blaming them on the people <"Here lie 14 Marines, murdered by the enemy and your indifference," Aug. 13>.
Many of us have strong convictions regarding our troops serving, wounded and killed in Iraq. Many believe sparing lives on both sides rests in a united Arab world that condemns terrorists and sincerely works for peace.
If there is blame for those who died or were wounded, for the resources wasted and billions spent in Iraq, it rests with George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, John Ashcroft, and the inner circle that orchestrated and sustains this war.
