By Jesse Russell
Comair has agreed to hold off on making changes to their pilot’s union until March 4 in order to give the pilot’s union more time to take a vote. The Air Lines Pilots Association is still completing language for the agreement which will then go to the Master Executive Council. If the council approves the contract it will then go to a vote by members. A U.S. Bankruptcy court ruled in December that Comair could make changes to pilot’s contracts and a second court in early February ruled that Comair could prohibit pilots from striking over imposed changes. The company has said it will cut pay by 11 percent if an agreement isn’t reached.
