CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- Democratic presidential hopeful Bill Richardson said Monday he has little faith in military leaders' assessments of the war in Iraq and doesn't understand why the architects of ''this morass'' get to write their own report cards.
President Bush wants time for his troop surge in Iraq to show results and has repeatedly asked Congress not to interfere until September, when the top U.S. commander, Gen. David Petraeus, and U.S. Ambassador Ryan Crocker, will assess progress.
