Don't mess with the moon

A snippet from Suzanne Moore's page in today's Mail on Sunday:

"ONCE when I was in Cannes I asked a film producer to give me an example of a terrible pitch. It went like this: 'Mad scientists blow up the moon. As a result all the Earth's women menstruate at the same time and the planet goes mad.' Actually, I thought it sounded like a movie I would go to see.

I just never expected NASA to actually attempt it.
